i-cord cast-on for Project Peace Cowl

Peaceful knitting sounds like the perfect plan for the first 21 days of December!  Please join me in Project Peace and knit a simple cowl with a cozy stitch pattern designed by Christina Campbell of The Healthy Knitter blog and knit up a little peace!

Watch this blog post video where I describe what peaceful knitting is all about and show you how to get involved in Project Peace. In this video I demonstrate step-by-step how-to form the i-cord cast-on to get the project started.  If you would like to jump directly to the tutorial on the i-cord cast-on, it starts at minute 3:29 in the video. If you would like to do join in on some peaceful knitting, download the pattern by visiting Ravelry

The yarn I am using is from Happy Fuzzy Feet and it definitely makes me happy! I had a peaceful knitting visit at my local yarn shop, Mountain Knits and Pearls where I found the perfect yarn for this project.

The idea to a peaceful knitting is to knit a row a day on the cowl and at the end of 21 days, you will have a little peace and a beautiful cowl.Christina Campbell of The Healthy Knitter is hosting this project as a KAL on Ravelry – you can join her group and the thousands of knitters finding a little peaceful knitting!

In full peaceful knitting disclosure I am an Amazon affiliate. My recommendations are not paid for by the manufacturers, these are truly the products I use and enjoy.

I am using a size#4 32″ circular Addi knitting needle  and a size # 4 Boye knitting needle tip from the interchangeable knitting needle set. Your support in using my affiliate links is much appreciated!
